Your Social Profiles Are Bleeding Referrals—Here’s How to Fix That in One Day

Day 4 — Claim & Prime Every Social Door

(A one-day setup your future self will thank you for)

I had this epiphany yesterday when I was teaching a bunch of people on Zoom how to batch content yesterday that I thought might help you.

Many people have outdated social bios

You want referrals.

You want to build trust.

You want people to Google you and think, “Damn, they’re legit.”

And yet… you updated your bios so long ago you don’t even look like yourself in the profile pic

Let’s stop pretending this doesn’t matter. It does.

Today, we make sure your entire online presence screams “I know what I’m doing.”

Not “This account was last updated in 2019.”

Here’s Why This Matters:

• Referrals don’t work if your socials suck.

A partner says “Check them out” and sends someone to your profile. If it’s a mess? You just lost money.

• AI is watching.

Google’s AI, ChatGPT, Perplexity—they’re all scraping your bios. If they’re mismatched, confusing, or non-existent, you're invisible.

• You’ll regret not claiming your handle.

Especially when you launch something new and @YourBrand is now owned by a 13-year-old who posts memes.

The Setup (Use This Checklist or Delegate It to Your VA):

You need:

• A clean brand kit (headshot, logo, banners)

• A 150-character bio:

“I help [who] get [what] without [pain]. 📥 Free cheat sheet ↓”

• A Link-in-Bio page (Beacons, Stand.Store)

• 1Password or LastPass to store logins + backups

Then go platform by platform and stop half-assing it:

Facebook (Personal + Business)

• New banner + headshot

• Updated bio + link

• First post: selfie + poll → “Do you get more biz from ads 🤑 or referrals 🤝?”

• Business page: "Book Now" button goes to Calendly. Done.

Instagram

• Paste bio, add link, switch to Pro account

• Highlight folder: “Start Here” (drop your freebie)

• First post: 15-sec B-roll reel — “Building a 30-Day Referral Engine”

LinkedIn

• Custom URL + clean banner

• Headline formula: Avatar ✅ Result ✅ Proof

• Creator Mode on + first truth-bomb post: “DM ‘Engine’ for the blueprint”

X/Threads

• Paste same assets

• First post: “Chasing cold leads is so 2015. Warm intros or bust.”

• Pin that thing.

TikTok (Do it even if you hate it)

• 80-char version of your bio

• First video: B-roll + VO — “30 days from zero to referral machine”

YouTube

• Upload banner + logo

• Add long-form About section (750 chars)

• Link all your other socials

• First post: cheat-sheet drop + clean B-roll

Google Business Profile (non-negotiable)

• Visit business.google.com

• Use exact NAP (Name-Address-Phone)

• Upload logo, cover, 5 behind-the-scenes photos

• Write your bio + call-to-action

• Request verification

• First post: Truth-bomb + image + lead magnet link

Pinterest (because AI scrapes this too)

• Convert to biz account

• Create boards: Referral Tips, Real Estate Scripts, VA Productivity

• Pin 3 pieces of content that link back to your quiz or freebie

• Schedule pins with auto poster (3/week, hands off)

Lock It Down:

• Turn on 2FA

• Store every login and backup code in your vault

• Screenshot every profile in incognito

• Make a Canva collage of all of them and file it under: Proof I’m Not Playing Around

How I Learned This:

I used to throw up random bios, upload the wrong headshot, forget to add a link… it looked like a middle schooler ran my brand.

Then one day, I got serious.

Same bio. Same pic. Same link. Everywhere.

Took my VA one afternoon. We screenshotted everything and archived it.

Now when someone checks me out, I don’t lose credibility—I gain it.

✔️ Consistent branding across Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn, Google

✔️ All links work

✔️ First post live on every platform

✔️ Your VA has everything stored, secured, and screenshot

✔️ Collage created for your “I’m everywhere” post tomorrow
